I’m a math educator and executive coach with over a decade of combined experience in private tutoring and classroom teaching.
I’ve worked with students at top Bay Area schools like Marin Academy and Mark Day School, and I also work virtually with motivated teens across the U.S.
Education & Credentials
In my executive coaching work with founders and senior leaders, I often see patterns that hold them back — patterns that began in their teenage years or earlier. Struggling to figure out what it really takes to succeed. Perfectionism or self-criticism that makes learning harder. Emotional swings that disrupt focus and decision-making. Not reaching out for support, even when it’s available.
These same challenges show up in the teenagers I work with. But when we catch them early, they become powerful points of transformation.
Even though teenagers may resist parent input, they’re incredibly open to other adults who genuinely connect with them. That’s why I love this work. At this age, coaching and tutoring can be truly transformational — and being a partner in that growth is very satisfying.
I’ve worked with well over 100 teenagers, and I’ve learned that it’s almost never the math that keeps them from reaching their potential. It’s confidence, emotional regulation, and knowing what it takes to improve steadily over time. When these foundations grow alongside mathematical thinking, teens don’t just get better at math — they become better thinkers and doers. And that changes everything.
My coaching background gives me insight into what motivated teens need to grow into confident, capable young adults. I blend expert math instruction with executive function coaching and emotional regulation skills — the true drivers of academic success.
I work with a limited number of teenagers each semester to ensure each student gets the personalized attention and support that creates lasting change.
When I’m not working with teenagers or coaching executives, you’ll find me hiking among waterfalls, dancing, sea kayaking, or exploring new places with friends.
These experiences in nature and with community keep me grounded and curious — qualities that help me connect with the teenagers I work with.
